Our Mother's Day Special has a strong connection with the region where over 40,000 people have perished in recent earthquakes. Irish tulips are a central feature of our 2023 bouquet, a flower that originated in the Persian peninsula. In fact, the name tulip is believed to be derived from the Persian word for turban, the headwear synonymous with the region. It's a small gesture, but we are giving €5 from every Mother's Day bouquet to Goal who are working hard to help families affected by the devastation in Turkey and Syria. Thanks for taking the time to read this, and here's hoping that the love that is being shown for Irish mammies can also help mothers cope in less fortunate parts of the world this year.
